We are looking for an experienced nuclear Waste Engineer who also has the experience/knowledge to work with Health Physics monitoring technicians in the collection of survey data and in processing and packaging of waste material. You will help ensure that waste can be processed/sentenced correctly so as not to impact the deplant schedule/ensure that we have all waste enabler completed for the MXD plant.
We seek an individual capable of bringing knowledge of LLW Waste Management and the ability to introduce that knowledge and associated mechanisms to the client's business;
You will also have:
A good appreciation of the various disposal and treatment options available to the Nuclear industry in management of Low Level Waste (LLW), and how to access them.
Experience and a good understanding in how to apply survey, assay and characterization data in the assessment and sentencing of radioactive materials
Knowledge of environmental issues including practices, policies, legislation and stakeholders relating to radioactive and non-radioactive waste management
Ideally you will also have:
A Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Certificate
An International Movement of Dangerous Goods Certificate
Experience in developing waste inventories together with records management
